Roz specializes in community engagement, user experience, branding and events. She organizes BarCamp Philly and TEDxPhilly and lives for creating super fun, immersive educational experiences. In her spare time, she loves cooking delicious vegan meals and watching bad tv on Netflix.

Liana Dragoman is a multi-disciplinary designer, artist, educator, and aspiring urban farmer. She is currently employed by MISI Company as an Experience Architect and teaches web design at Moore College of Art and Design. Outside of work, you’ll find her in her studio, hiking in the woods, hunting for wild, edible mushrooms, and working in Kensington’s Cohocksink City Harvest community garden, which she co-organizes.

Chris Bartlett is the Executive Director of the William Way Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community Center in Philadelphia (www.waygay.org). For over 20 years, he has been an innovative thinker and leader in technology-driven community organizing, having led the SafeGuards Gay Men’s Health Project, the LGBT Community Assessment, and the national LGBT Leadership Initiative. He has been deeply interested in the power of social networks to impact communities, and has presented his ideas, including his “Social Network for the Dead” and “Secret Mentoring” at the LGBT and Gay Men’s Health Summits, the #140conf, Ignite Philly, and Bar Camp Philly. Vincent has been in the video editing/motion graphics/production world for 7 years – churning out everything from music videos, to film trailers, to documentaries. In his spare time he is a human jukebox of horrible 80′s and 90′s songs, spitting out lyrics at random. He enjoys red wine, quoting obscure movies, Oscar Wilde, board games, and the Flyers. He is also a food snob with a secret affinity for chicken fingers.

e makes things like handmade books and art objects daily and teaches amazing women at moore college of art & design weekly. she likes the alphabet, lines, words, stories, cheese, land masses, manifestos, books, the space between things, old people, think tanks, salt water, using her passport and people who try.

David Clayton is the Curator at Breadboard, a program of the Science Center that explores the intersection of Art and Technology. In his spare time, he plays with laser cutters, tinkers with electronic and builds furniture. He also co-organizes Ignite Philly events at Johnny Brenda’s in Fishtown and recently started a listserv for Geek Dads in Philadelphia called Dad-Tron.

Ian is a creative entrepreneur who loves doing what he likes. By daytime he directs I-SITE, an Old City interactive design firm with a penchant for developing digital products for innovators. He is a partner in the new electronic music label and journal Data Garden and recently brought back classic Go Go to Philly with the re-opening of The Trestle Inn in Callowhill. Ian loves Philly, its neighborhoods, crazy characters and indomitable spirit and grit. He also has a passion for MYX, puffins, analog anything, footer and a good pint of bitter.

By day, Emaleigh Doley works in the public relations and creative communications field to tell the stories of some of the region’s best arts and cultural organizations and non-profits. At night, she plots new ways to build stronger, more vibrant communities, focusing on small urban interventions and creative projects with big impact, alongside her sister. Emaleigh believes strongly in active citizenship and do-it-yourself culture. She loves public art, fountains and hanging out in cities around the world like a local.

By day Abby makes maps and manages a team that creates software designed to engage the public in legislative redistricting, election incident reporting and political advocacy. Unable to escape her first loves – food and event planning – she plays the wizard behind the curtain for a variety of events. By night Abby trains to be a Philly foodie and barefoot marathoner.

Maurice is a web developer, graphic artist, action hero, and storyteller.

He works with an amazing crew at Comcast Interactive Media. Loves getting to the heart of what makes things tick. An engineer by training, Maurice enjoys smart stuff. Often that means people, but also includes designs, user experiences, and machines.

Maurice also enjoys photography, good food, and discussing just about anything.

Annie Heckenberger is VP, Community Trailblazer, leading the PR and Social practices at indie creative agency Red Tettemer + Partners. Annie likes forward-thinking, quick-wits, problem-solving and news. Lots and lots of news. She also wants you to know she’s an overtweeter. She can’t help it. She’s got a lot to say.

Mel has been in the graphic design / illustration / creative field for over 12 years – busting out print collatoral, environmental graphics, web design, packaging, and creating conference experiences. She has a major crush on pretty things, a fascination with type and textures, is prone to spontaneous adventures, loves collaborative art projects, is currently an Instagram junkie…until something new comes along, and is scouring the land for the perfect beet salad.

Kara LaFleur has worked in Arts, Culture, and Social Change communities for nearly 10 years. She believes strongly in the power and strength of people coming together for the greater good and continues to learn and grow through collaborations focused on community generated change.

Kara has a tendency to Laugh Out Loud, enjoys knitting, changing the world, local sustainable business practices, food, yoga, nature, adventure, Philly, geeks, helping others, a well made Old Fashioned, and glitter.

Reed is a web developer. That means he makes stuff on the internet that people don’t just look at, but interact with. His professional focus is on creating web interface experiences that are fun and effortless to use. In general, Reed loves to make things… food, web applications, art. They’re all the same. Making things is fun.

Tamara currently works at Azavea, where she manages teams doing spatial data analysis and developing a method for doing super-fast distributed geoprocessing. She spends her time helping clients to define research questions, developing models, making maps and designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. Tamara gets a lot satisfaction from making it easy and fun for people to play with data so that they can understand and change the world around them.

Her background is in geography and urban anthropology, with past research on topics ranging from French colonial housing and urbanization policy in North Africa to immigrant access to health care in Philadelphia. Outside of work, Tamara can often be found biking to live performances of all sorts.

Monica makes things, lots and lots of pretty things. Monica is the secret weapon of style, crafting beautiful brands from the ground up. Her process is sublime. She can take a word or a feeling and break it out into a million tiny pieces of awesome. She listens and directs and focuses on telling the right story in the right way. She can swiftly move from something small and tactile to something huge and life-changing in the blink of an eye. Watch out for this one… one day you’ll know exactly what’s been Made by Monica.

Kelani Nichole is a distiller of the web, working at the intersection of art + technology in Philadelphia. She is member of little berlin gallery where she curates exhibitions and hosts an ongoing workshop for artists working in the medium of the web called ‘Open Web Studio’. She is also an active member of IndyHall, a coworking community, where she runs her independent Content Strategy practice ‘Distillery’ alongside friends and likeminded freelancers of all ilks. In addition, Kelani cultivate a number of local communities and collaborative experiences including BarCampPhilly an annual unconference event focused on open knowledge sharing, and of course TEDxPhilly!
